On Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, at 2 p.m., the Second Sunday Series, a chamber music concert series at Englewood Christian Church, 511 N. 44th Ave., will present violinist, Caitlin Kelley and pianist Jake Sele for a Halloween themed concert which will include “Saint-Saens’ Danse Macabre,” selections from Sarasate Carmen Fantasy, arrangements of music from Hitchcock films and other classical and film music. Kelley first appeared on the series as a winner of the Ladies Musical Club of Seattle’s Frances Walton Competition in 2022, then as a member of the Vesper Piano Trio in 2023, and again last season as a soloist.

This Seattle native received a Bachelor of Music degree and Professional Studies Certificate from the Colburn School in Los Angeles, and a Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School in New York. After her studies she returned to Seattle where she enjoys a diverse career as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player and teaching artist.

Hailed as “dazzling” by Peninsula Reviews, Kelley is a versatile performing artist, equally at home with traditional classical and contemporary repertoire. As a soloist, Kelley has appeared with orchestras across the country, including the Arlington Philharmonic, Auburn Symphony Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic, Lake Union Civic Orchestra, Long Beach Chamber Orchestra, Music in the Mountains Festival Orchestra, Olympia Symphony Orchestra, Pasadena Community Orchestra, Philharmonia Northwest, Seattle Festival Orchestra, Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra, Seattle Youth Symphony, Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra and the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra.

As a freelance orchestral player, Kelley frequently performs with the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera and Pacific Northwest Ballet. She has recently appeared as guest concertmaster of the North Corner Chamber Orchestra, Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra, Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra and Federal Way Symphony. She held a first violin position with the New West Symphony in Los Angeles, and has also performed with the American Ballet Theatre, New World Symphony and San Francisco Symphony. In the spring of 2023, Kelley performed as guest concertmaster of The Phoenix Symphony.

Kelley is a dedicated teaching artist and works with many private students, both locally in Seattle and internationally through her online teaching studio. This past summer she founded the Cannon Beach Music Festival. For more information, please visit www.cannonbeachmusicfestival.org and www.caitlinkelleyviolinstudio.com.

Pianist Jake Sele is a standout keyboardist based in Seattle, known for his exceptional versatility across genres including jazz, classical, Latin, funk and more. A Cornish School of the Arts graduate, Sele is skilled in piano, keyboards, synthesizers and the Hammond B3 organ and performs extensively in clubs, high-profile concerts and studio sessions, including collaborations with the Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall. Renowned for his high energy and captivating performances, Sele has earned acclaim from musicians and audiences alike. In his early 30s, Sele continues to impress with his passion and musical prowess.
