Selena Gomez kept the details and intimate moments of her wedding to Benny Blanco private, but in a new Instagram post, the actor shared a series of rare snaps from her big day, all featuring best friend Taylor Swift.
“In honor of SHOWGIRL .. blessed to have you by my side almost 20 years later gator! I love you @taylorswift forever and always,” Gomez wrote in the post caption, paying tribute to Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, which came out this October 3.
In one of the snaps, Swift and Gomez are seen sipping drinks as the bride gets ready for her bash. The pop superstar is seen wearing a blush gown covered in flower appliqués and sequins. She accessorized the wedding guest look with dangly earrings and a pink-stone necklace, and leaned into the showgirl vibes with an elaborate Old Hollywood hairdo, plus her sharp cat eye and bold red lip.
In another image, the friends are seen hugging below strings of twinkly lights. Swift is chic in a black spaghetti-strap dress, diamond jewelry, and her signature makeup, while Gomez wears a white sequin dress.
The main slide in Gomez’s post features a video taken by Swift of the bride getting ready. “Are you even serious? Look at her,” Swift says as she marvels at her friend. “I’m so happy,” Gomez says in response, flashing a wide smile.
Swift and Gomez have been friends since the early 2000s, when they were both dating Jonas Brothers members, with Gomez dating Nick and Swift dating Joe. In the years since, they have stood by one another through thick and thin, and at Gomez’s wedding to Blanco, Swift even gave a heartfelt speech.
