The movie intended to close out the Fast & Furiousfranchise has received a less-than-positive update. Vin Diesel has previously stated that Fast & Furious 11 would be released sometime in 2027, marking an end to Universal Pictures’ most successful big-screen brand.
A new report from the Wall Street Journal reveals that Fast & Furious 11, or more informally known as Fast X Part 2, may already be way over budget. The franchise debuted back in 2001 with The Fast and the Furious and has spawned a slew of sequel films, the last being 2023’s Fast X. The franchise has brought in more than $7 billion for Universal over the past nearly quarter of a century.
