It was only a matter of time before President Donald Trump offered his thoughts on the halftime show of Super Bowl 60.
The NFL announced last week that Bad Bunny will headline the halftime show at Levi’s Stadium on February 8, 2026. Initially, there were rumors that either Adele or Taylor Swift would perform in Santa Clara, but the league ultimately went with the Grammy Award winner from Puerto Rico.

Over the past week, Megyn Kelly and countless other commentators have ripped the NFL for giving Bad Bunny such a big platform.

President Trump doesn’t hold back his thoughts.
While on NewsMax this Tuesday, the president of the United States was asked about Bad Bunny headlining the Super Bowl halftime show.
Trump said it’s “absolutely ridiculous” that Bad Bunny will be in the spotlight on Super Bowl Sunday.
“I don’t know why they’re doing it,” Trump said on NewsMax. “I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.”
There’s a petition for this year’s halftime show.
As of this Tuesday night, there’s a petition with the title “Replace bad bunny in the superbowl halftime show” that’s gaining traction.
“I want to be clear I do not condone any racism or hateful behavior connected to this petition. I have no issue with Bad Bunny as an artist he is talented and successful. My concern is simply about the Super Bowl halftime show needing an act with broader appeal across genres and audiences rather than leaning into one lane that may not connect with the majority of viewers. The Super Bowl Halftime Show is one of the most iconic events in entertainment, drawing millions of viewers from all around the globe. For decades, it has been a platform to celebrate music that unites people, offering a shared experience that brings together fans from different backgrounds, tastes, and cultures,” the petition reads.

Despite all the outrage online, the NFL has zero plans to replace Bad Bunny.
