Country music sensation Zach Bryan has finally spoken out after releasing a teaser of a song that criticizes the Trump Administration’s ICE operations, sparking outrage among some MAGA supporters–ICE agents recently caught flak for throwing protesters to the ground.

The 29-year-old artist recently shared a preview of his new track Bad News, which takes aim at the ICE raids happening across the country. The song’s explicit criticism has drawn intense backlash from Zach’s conservative fan base, leading the country singer to respond. Despite being no stranger to controversy, having recently been involved in a brawl at a country festival, Zach decided to confront the issue directly. He reassured his fans that he remains a proud Veteran and loves his country.

On Tuesday, Zach posted a screenshot of a message titled “On the ‘new’ song” on his Instagram Story, urging his followers to “pls f—-n read this.” The Department of Homeland Security have already slammed the country singer over ICE song.

In the message, he wrote, “I wrote this song months ago. I posted this song three months ago as a snippet. This shows you how divisive a narrative can be when shoved down our throats through social media. This song is about how much I love this country and everyone in it more than anything.”

He added, “When you hear the rest of the song, you will understand the full context that hits on both sides of the aisle. Everyone using this now as a weapon is only proving how devastatingly divisive we all are. We need to find our way back.”

Before launching his music career, Zach served as an active-duty member of the United States Navy for eight years, signing up at just 17-years-old.

During his military service, he achieved the rank of Aviation Ordnanceman Second Class (AO2).

Reflecting on this chapter of his life, Zach wrote, “I served this country, I love this country and the song itself is all about all of us coming out of this divided space. I wasn’t speaking as a politician or some greater-than-thou a—–e, just a 29 year old man who is just as confused as everyone else.”

Discussing his political views, the Something in the Orange singer added, “To see how much s–t it stirred up makes me not only embarrassed but kind of scared. Left wing or right wing we’re all one bird and American. To be clear I’m neither of these radical sides.”

Wrapping up his message, Zach wrote, “To all those disappointed in me on either side of whatever you believe in just know I’m trying my best too and we all say things that are misconstrued sometimes. Everyone have a great day and I love each and every one of ya!!!”

In a subsequent post, Zach revealed that he has faced “scrutinized by more people” than he ever imagined possible in recent months.

Discussing how this has impacted his mental well-being, he said, “I feel like I’ve tried my hardest in so many ways and it’s so hard to see where my bearings even are anymore. Been falling off a cliff while trying to grow wings at the same time.”

Emphasizing his patriotism, the Sun to Me hitmaker penned, “I am SO proud to have served in a country where we can all speak freely and conserve amongst each other without getting doxxed or accosted on the internet or worse; the violence and heartbreak we’ve faced in the last few months!”

Wrapping up his lengthy message, he declared, “God speed ol’ sons I’m out!”
