Nicole Kidman hinted at her shocked reaction to her allegedly “one-sided” divorce from Keith Urban in a new interview with Vogue.

The actress, 58, spoke with the publication weeks before her split from Urban was announced on September 29. Though Kidman didn’t explicitly discuss the breakup, the actress shared a telling statement about how she’s feeling about life lately.

“How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it isn’t going in that direction?” Kidman said in response to a question about life in her 50s.

The Vogue profile is the first since reports confirmed that Urban, 57, and Kidman ended their marriage after 19 years of marriage. Insiders called the split “one-sided,” claiming that Urban was the one to end things and that he moved out of their Nashville home to another property in the area.

Kidman filed for divorce on September 30, citing “irreconciliable differences.” The exes share two children, 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith Margaret, whom the Oscar winner was photographed with at Paris Fashion Week earlier this week.

Amid their breakup, Urban is speculated to be dating “another woman,” leading fans to link him to his guitarist Maggie Baugh. However, neither have addressed the dating rumors.

Sources close to Kidman have aired their frustrations after reports of Keith’s new romance emerged. “Keith looks as if he’s out to try to publicly embarrass and hurt Nic,” an insider told the Daily Mail. “He’s always been the quieter one, but now that seems to have changed.”

Kidman and Urban married in 2006 after a year of dating. Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 until 2001. They share two children: Isabella and Connor.
