Post Malone shut down Nashville’s Lower Broadway on the evening of Oct. 8 to perform a free show following the grand opening of his new bar.
The rapper turned pop star turned country music icon cut the ribbon alongside Mayor Freddie O’Connell and Police Chief John Drake, officially opening Posty’s on the corner of Broadway and Third Ave N.

“This is a new chapter for me completely and I am so honored that everyone came out to have their phones,” Post Malone said jokingly at the ribbon cutting, as the gaggle of people watching the ribbon cutting ceremony recorded videos in awe.
Celebrating the opening Post Malone, placed the new bar’s tab on himself Wednesday.

“Drinks are on me tonight for the whole entire night, food is on me tonight, whatever you want in the entire world,” Post Malone added.
Kicking off around 8 p.m., Malone opened the show to screams of thousands that had flocked to the streets. The set was filled with mostly covers. Post Malone sang “Brand New Man” alongside storied country music band Brooks & Dunn. Additionally, Post Malone also brought out other country music superstars Dierks Bentley and Lainey Wilson.
Mobility across Broadway before and after the show was limited, the crowd stretched from Third Ave. N., where the stage was set up, all the way to Bridgestone Arena.
