Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here. Anyway, I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease, those of you that seem to be real concerned, which I appreciate, and I appreciate your prayers because I’m a person of faith.”
Her comments come almost a week after she postponed her Las Vegas residency due to health concerns, which prompted her sister, Freida Parton, to reach out to fans and ask them to share good wishes for the beloved singer’s speedy recovery. Although she didn’t elaborate on the health challenges she faced recently, Parton made it clear that she didn’t take care of herself after the death of her husband earlier this year. Meanwhile, her sister apologized for scaring the singer’s fans on Facebook and clarified that she asked for prayers because she “strongly” believes in the power of prayer.
