The passing of her husband, Carl Dean, earlier this year has taken a toll. “When Carl was very sick and then after he passed, I didn’t take care of myself,” she shared. “The doctor said, we need to take care of this. Nothing major, but I did have to cancel some things so I could be closer to home.”

However, Dolly Parton has made sure she gives her own health update for concerned fans. “There’s a lot of rumours flying around, and I figured if you heard it from me, you’d know that I’m ok.” Even made fun of a viral AI-generated photo falsely showing her on a deathbed with Reba McEntire. “If I was really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one at my deathbed,” she joked.
