Former castmate and improv pro Amy Poehler is set to host the show, Saturday, Oct. 11. Singer Role Model will join the former “Weekend Update” host as this week’s musical guest.
This will mark Poehler’s third time hosting “SNL” since her departure from the cast in Season 34.

It’s the moment many “SNL” fans have been waiting for: the return of Amy Poehler.
Former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Amy Poehler will host the famous sketch show on Saturday, Oct. 11.
Poehler, an “SNL” cast member from 2001 to 2008, has played a host of memorable characters during her “SNL” tenure, but her acting career is just as impressive. She famously portrayed Leslie Knope on “Parks and Recreation” and is the voice of Joy in the hit Disney movie, “Inside Out” and “Inside Out 2.” She also hosts the popular podcast, “Good Hang with Amy Poehler.”
Although Poehler is no stranger to Studio 8H, the Emmy-winner hasn’t hosted the show since 2015, when she co-hosted with friend and longtime “SNL” cast member Tina Fey.

Even if you’re unfamiliar with his name, you’ve likely heard his biggest song, “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out,” which has gone viral thanks to the singer inviting celebrities, such as Hillary Duff, Olivia Rodrigo, and even “SNL” castmember Bowen Yang, on stage to be his “Sally.”

The 28-year-old, whose real name is Tucker Harrington Pillsbury, is fresh off supporting former Season 50 musical guest Gracie Abrams on tour.
Although the singer has only released two studio albums (“Rx” in 2022 and “Kansas Anymore” in 2024), the singer’s popularity is growing thanks to his comedic internet presence.
How to watch ‘Saturday Night Live’
All episodes of “SNL” premiere Saturday nights at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Those wanting to stream the show live can do so with a Peacock premium subscription, or stream new episodes the next day with a basic Peacock subscription.
Hulu + Live TV subscribers, or anyone with a streaming service that offers live TV capabilities, can also stream the show live. The show will be available to stream with a regular Hulu subscription Sunday, the day after a new episode airs.
