Mick Jagger and his fiancée Melanie Hamrick appeared smitten as they stepped out for a seldom-seen red carpet moment.
The secretive pair radiated romance while gracing the carpet at the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala.
The Rolling Stones legend, 82, strutted the red carpet in the United States beside his fiancée Melanie, 38.
The ex-dancer stunned in a breathtaking red satin dress featuring a daring thigh-high slit while Mick cut a sharp figure in a black blazer paired with a floral shirt.
The duo appeared completely besotted as they enjoyed their uncommon joint red carpet moment, having first crossed paths backstage at a concert in 2014 during her stint with New York City’s American Ballet Theatre.
“Am I happy? Yes. Are the people in my life happy? Yes. Am I hurting anyone? No. Okay, they can mind their own business.”
Playfully addressing their age difference in another conversation, she quipped: “He’s younger than me!
“He’s amazing; he really is … I feel very secure in my relationship. There will always be rumors, but I know what Mick and I have, so I don’t pay attention to them.”
Earlier this year, Melanie revealed the pair had gotten engaged “two or three years ago” but weren’t rushing down the aisle.
She explained: “Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not. We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything. We try to support each other, be there for each other, and make sure everyone is happy. That’s all that matters to me and all I strive for.”
When the duo first crossed paths backstage at his show, Melanie wasn’t thinking about romance.
“Maybe a spark, but nothing incredible, like, ‘Come on, I’ll blow your mind and we’ll travel the world,” she remembered of their initial encounter, “We didn’t even exchange phone numbers. At the time, I wasn’t in a relationship, but he was.”
The couple also discussed their son Deveraux Octavian Basil, revealing he’s inherited his father’s talents.
Melanie shared: “It’s amazing. It’s natural. It’s in his genes. He just, like, moves. No one taught him.
“No one influenced him. He moved like that before he even saw one of his dad’s concerts. It’s still there.”
