Oktoberfest Celebrations: Multiple venues are hosting Oktoberfest events, including a Food Festival at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and a celebration at Mad Dogs British Pub on the River Walk.

Halloween Attractions: Seasonal events are popular, such as:

  • Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld San Antonio
  • Fright Fest at Six Flags Fiesta Texas
  • The Horror Section Halloween Themed Pop-up Bar Experience

Concerts: Some notable shows include:

  • Michael Schenker at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts (Friday, Oct. 10)
  • Lil Tecca at Boeing Center at Tech Port (Saturday, Oct. 11)
  • Mudvayne at Boeing Center at Tech Port (Sunday, Oct. 12)

Beyond the big festivals and concerts, San Antonio has a lot of other activities this weekend, especially with the Hispanic Heritage and Halloween seasons in full swing.

  • Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo Fest (Friday & Saturday) at the San Antonio Botanical Garden. A fun, fairy tale-themed event for the family with whimsical characters and performances.
  • San Antonio Zoo Boo! (Daily through October) The zoo’s annual non-scary Halloween event for kids.
  • Morgan’s Wonderland Halloween Bash (Saturday) The inclusive theme park is hosting its own Halloween-themed party.
  • Enchanted Lights Halloween Park + Corn Maze (Weekends) at Traders Village San Antonio. Features a mile-long drive-thru light show and a corn maze.
  • Red Riding Hood – A Family Friendly Play! (Saturday & Sunday) at the Magik Theatre. A performance geared toward families and children.

Culture & Art

  • Raza Cosmica (through Sunday) at Arthouse at Blue Star and Central Library. Showcase of sci-fi and speculative films by Latinx and BIPOC filmmakers.
  • MujerArtes 30th Anniversary Kickoff Exhibit and Sale (Friday). Celebrating three decades of the Women’s Clay Cooperative with an exhibit, sale, and live music.
  • Fiestas Patrias and Hispanic Heritage Month (Through Sunday) Enjoy the final days of various celebrations honoring Hispanic heritage throughout the city.
  • Brick at Blue Star Sunday Market (Sunday). A market featuring local vendors, artists, and crafts.

Unique Experiences & Health

  • Go Rio Ghost Tours (Friday) Departs from the Briscoe Western Art Museum area. A thrilling ghost tour right along the River Walk, exploring San Antonio’s haunted history.
  • Light the Night (Saturday) at the Rock at La Cantera from 6 to 8:30 p.m. This free community event benefits Blood Cancer United’s funding of research to find blood cancer cures. Each walker will carry an iconic Light the Night lantern in a show of support for those battling the disease and to honor those we have lost. White lanterns are carried by survivors and patients, red lanterns are carried in support of patients and finding cures, and gold lanterns are carried in remembrance of those we have lost.   • Sana Sunday Goat Yoga (Sunday) at the Plaza Juarez at La Villita Historic Arts Village. A free, unique 45-minute yoga experience with goats.
  • Butterflies 101 (Friday – Sunday) at the San Antonio Botanical Garden. A workshop focusing on butterflies, perfect for nature lovers.
