Lil Wayne Buys Swizz Beatz a $1.8 Million 6×6 Truck for His Birthday

For Swizz Beatz’s 47th birthday, Lil Wayne got the producer a million-dollar-plus gift that he’ll never forget.

Swizz hopped on social media on Thursday (Oct. 9) to reveal that insanely expensive b-day gift — a Brabus 6×6 truck.

In a video of the car being delivered to him, Swizz expressed his excitement for the luxury vehicle, saying that he would use it to “go camping with the family.”

“This a million-dollar-plus gift, don’t get it twisted,” the producer said. “Thank you, my brother. I love you, I appreciate you.”

While Swizz didn’t confirm the truck’s model in his video, it appears to be the XLP 900 6×6, which the company nicknames the “Superblack.” That model, per Brabus, is “based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63,” which is why Swizz refers to it as a “Benz truck.” That model is listed for sale on secondary sites for around $1.6 million, while this video has it at $1.8 million.

Swizz and Wayne go way back. They connected on this tour in 1999 when they were junior members of their respective cliques, Ruff Ryders and Cash Money — something Swizz recalls fondly in his caption for the truck-delivery video.

They have worked together on several occasions over the years, including their 2018 collab “Uproar” — a song that seemingly caused a bit of creative tension between them.

During an appearance on the Hot Boxin’ podcast, Swizz revealed that Wayne wasn’t a huge fan of some altered vocals that Swizz placed on the song.

“This was the last record,” said Swizz. “I kind of messed with his vocals. He didn’t like that and then I talked to Mack [Maine]. I said, ‘This gotta be more than just a freestyle because he rapped all the way through.’ There wasn’t no break points.”

Swizz went into detail about how he took one of the lines that Wayne rapped and restructured it to become the chorus of the track — a decision that Wayne didn’t like at first, but eventually came to terms with.

Back in 2011, Wayne spoke out about a leaked collaboration with Swizz, “Dear Anne,” that he didn’t like — not because of the producer this time, but because he wasn’t a fan of his lyrics.

“That was actually a record for Tha Carter III that just leaked,” said Wayne during an interview with XXL. “It leaked out and everybody’s thinking that it’s going on Tha Carter IV… But I had been listening to it and didn’t like it. I don’t like it ‘cause the song, all the verses are old. And me being a perfectionist, I hate going with old verses.”
