Hillary Clinton‘s social media post about her 50th wedding anniversary to Bill Clinton has fans going crazy, but not for the reason you think.
The Clintons were celebrating a milestone in their marriage, but Instagram and X were divided over who Hillary’s celebrity doppelgänger was. X fans seemed to think that in her younger years, she and Sydney Sweeney were twins. Instagram believed that Sabrina Carpenter is her A-List lookalike.
“Sydney Sweeney biopic when,” wrote one social media user on X. Another account added side-by-side comparisons of Sweeney and Hillary, with the commentary, “Starting a conversation none of you want to have…” And yes, they have very similar features beyond their blonde hair — the sweet smile, the blue eyes, and even the shape of their noses are alike.
Instagram was firmly in the Carpenter camp, with fans chiming in about seeing the resemblance. “Looking at these photos, I think Sabrina Carpenter should play you in a biopic,” one follower wrote. There were also several memes of the “Espresso” singer thrown into the comments, so Sweeney and Carpenter might have to fight it out over who gets to play her in a biopic.
Still, the internet might have solved the debate years ago because the Carpenter comparison has been going on for over a decade, back to her Disney Channel days. So, the Girl Meets World star might have a leg up on the competition.

While everyone was focused on the Gen Z actresses who could play Hillary, the former U.S. senator only had loving words for her husband. “When we got married 50 years ago, we had no idea how our lives would unfold. But one thing I knew for certain then, and still know now, is that I wanted to navigate the ups and downs and in-betweens with you. Happy anniversary, dear Bill,” she wrote in the caption.
The four snapshots proved how in love they were on their wedding day on Oct. 11, 1975, but as one of her fans commented, Hillary was “the original baddie.” That is the ultimate compliment to the former first lady.
