Congratulations are in order for Crown Prince Leka of Albania.
The European royal has announced his engagement to Blerta Celebashi, with an official statement from The Royal Court of Albania confirming the news six months after his divorce from Crown Princess Elia Zaharia was finalised.
The couple, who went public with their relationship in September 2024, looked positively glowing in the announcement photos shared on Instagram.
“The Royal Court is pleased to announce the engagement of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Leka II of the Albanians and Miss Blerta Celibashi,” read the statement.
“The engagement was joyfully celebrated on 11 October 2025, in Ksamil, Southern Albania, in the presence of family and close friends.
“The Royal Family shares their happiness with the Albanian people and extends heartfelt gratitude to all who have conveyed their kind wishes on this joyful occasion.”
The engagement news comes a month after Blerta joined the prince for her first official engagement, during a visit to the Queen Géraldine Foundation.

In September 2024, the royal stepped out with his new partner at the Carpathia West Ball on for their first public appearance together.
The ball was held in support of The Queen Geraldine Foundation.
The outing for the new couple came just months after the prince confirmed he and his wife Elia Zaharia were separating.
In January 2024, the father-of-one announced on social media that they had mutually decided to end their relationship after eight years of marriage.
The prince and his wife, Elia Zaharia, who was originally an actress, affirmed that the couple’s daughter, Geraldine, remained their number one priority.

“Hello friends and well-wishers. Through this post, I officially inform you that LTM Prince Leka and Elia Zaharia have agreed to end their marriage. Since the marriage has lost its function, they have seen the way to resolve it by mutual consent by starting the necessary legal procedures,” read the statement, translated from Albanian.
