Cardi B is feeling “blessed” as she celebrates another birthday. The chart-topping rapper took to Instagram with a heartfelt post acknowledging her 33rd lap around the sun.
“Thank you to everyone for all the birthday wishes! Every one normally makes their new year resolution on Jan 1st but I made mine last night ! Im feeling lucky but most of all blessed! Year 32 was a year I’ll never forget!” she exclaimed.
She continued to write, “33 is the Jesus year and I must say I never felt so covered and so protected by the man above himself. He never fails to remind me that I’m chosen and that I’m anointed and that’s the best gift I could ever ask for. Thank you all for supporting me and loving me! I love yall back!”
In the carousel of photos, Cardi B wore a burgundy dress with cut-out detailing, matching earrings, and silver accessories. Kelly Rowland, Niecy Nash-Betts, Chloe Bailey, Taraji P. Henson, Phaedra Parks, and Lola Brook were among those wishing the “Bodak Yellow” performer a happy birthday in the comments.
With the recent release of Am I The Drama, victory in her civil trial, and the news of her being pregnant, the expectant mother of four has a lot to celebrate.
The anticipated sophomore effort, which was released last month and ended Cardi B’s album hiatus, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. With 23 songs, the album features Janet Jackson, Megan Thee Stallion, Selena Gomez, Lizzo, Summer Walker, and Tyla, with a bonus track featuring Latto. Am I The Drama was also certified platinum at release, due to the inclusion of “WAP” and “Up.”
In support of the album, the Bronx native is set to head out on her first-ever headlining arena run, the Little Miss Drama Tour. The trek kicks off on Feb. 11 in Palm Desert, Calif., at Acrisure Arena, with additional stops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Austin, Chicago, New York, Toronto, Philadelphia, and more before wrapping up on April 17 in Atlanta, Ga.
