The original Sally has thrown her hat in the ring for Role Model‘s next gig.
Iconic talk show host Sally Jessy Rapheaeltook to Instagram following the most recent episode of Saturday Night Live, noting that she should have been called in for a certain cameo during Role Model’s performance.
The singer, who was the show’s musical guest this past Saturday, performed his song “Sally, Until the Wine Runs Out” and had Charlie XCX make a surprise appearance when he sings about the song’s muse, Sally.
“I would have done this @nbcsnl cameo during @rolemodel’s performance with RED glasses… just saying!” the 90-year-old wrote, with a nod to her signature glasses.
The song which has recently taken off in popularity as Role Model has performed around the country, including at the Austin City Limits Festival and on the Today show over the summer, has especially become a social media hit as the singer brings out a beloved celeb to be the “Sally” for that performance.

At the Texas music festival, Hilary Duff came out and shocked the crowd as she danced along to the song. Kate Hudson and Olivia Rodrigo have also made appearances as “Sally” at various performances.
The Sally Jessy Rapheael show aired from 1983 to 2002.
