During the premiere of his new film Good Fortune in New York City on October 13, Keanu Reeves laughed off the recent marriage rumors. “Well, that wasn’t the first time,” the 61-year-old actor told E! News. “We’ve been going out for a long time.”
The buzz began last month when fans speculated that Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant had gotten married after a romantic photo of the two surfaced online. The visual artist quickly shut down the rumors with an Instagram post.” Grant wrote, “Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement… simply a kiss!” She added, “Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful out there!”
Reeves praised Grant’s calm and good-humored response to the situation. “The wedding, it’s a nice thing,” he said. “People did a lot of nice messages and stuff, but Alexandra just did a wonderful job addressing it,” he added.
Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant’s love story began long before the public caught on. They first met in 2009 at a dinner party. They co-founded X Artists’ Books in 2017, a small publishing house dedicated to experimental works.
