Fifteen years after working with Christopher Nolan in Inception, actor Elliot Page finds himself lucky that he is getting to work with him again on The Odyssey. Even though he has worked with the director in the past, his involvement in the upcoming project feels surreal, and the actor is not shying away from letting the world know what it means to be working with the Oppenheimer filmmaker after the transition.
Speaking at a New York Comic Con panel (via People Magazine), the 38-year-old actor opened up about his future in the X-Men franchise and upcoming projects. During the conversation, he was asked about working with an Academy Award-winning filmmaker on The Odyssey, and what the experience was like working with him after such a long gap. Page couldn’t control his excitement and noted that he was “excited” to be a part of the upcoming magnum opus and revealed that he felt much more “comfortable” in working with him after the transition.
She said, “I met with Chris and talked about the part, and then sat in the room and read the script. And, you know, it was of course a big yes. To come back now, as you can imagine, being more just comfortable in yourself makes these sorts of projects more enjoyable. To get to have a Chris Nolan experience again now — that actually, really just meant so much to me.”
This might be Page’s first high-profile venture after the transition, and the actor has already made it clear that he feels more confident and at ease in his own skin than ever before. His journey has been really inspiring, and he doesn’t let the trolls affect him as he continues to take control of his body and narrative. Although all the other details about her character in The Odyssey have been kept under wraps, social media users keep on theorizing what role he might be portraying in the upcoming film.
Directed by Christopher Nolan, The Odyssey stars Matt Damon, Zendaya, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Mia Goth, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Lupita Nyong’o, and Page in pivotal roles. The project is scheduled to hit theatres on July 17, 2026.
