Newly launched distributor Row K Entertainment has announced 2026 release dates for its latest round of fall film festival pick-ups including Gus Van Sant’s Dead Man’s Wire, Maude Apatow’s feature directorial debut Poetic License, Jaume Collet-Serra’s action thriller Cliffhanger and Tom Dean and Marc Eldridge’s Charlie Harper.
Dead Man’s Wire before its Jan. 9 limited release and Jan. 16, 2026 wide release will get an Oscar qualifying run on Dec. 12. Movie follows the true story of the 1977 kidnapping that turned aspiring Indianapolis entrepreneur Tony Kiritsis into an eccentric outlaw folk hero. Pic stars Bill Skarsgård, Dacre Montgomery, Cary Elwes, Myha’la, Colman Domingo, and Al Pacino.

Poetic License will go wide on May 15. The movie stars Leslie Mann, Cooper Hoffman, Andrew Barth Feldman, Nico Parker, Martha Kelly, Maisy Stella, Will Price, and Cliff ‘Method Man’ Smith. The film follows Liz, a former therapist and soon-to-be empty nester, who relocates to a new town for her husband’s job. Her quiet effort to adjust takes an unexpected turn when she finds herself at the center of tension between two inseparable best friends. As their fierce competition for her attention threatens to upend their lives, Liz is pulled into a tangle of longing, self-discovery, and the intoxicating thrill of being truly seen – forcing her to confront the life she’s built and the one she still craves.
Cliffhanger, starring Pierce Brosnan and Lily James, is a reboot of the 1993 Sylvester Stallone movie and it will hit theaters on Aug. 28. The film follows Ray Cooper, a seasoned mountaineer who runs a luxury chalet in the Dolomites with his daughter. When a weekend excursion with a billionaire’s son turns violent, they are targeted by a group of kidnappers. As the attack unfolds, Ray’s daughter, Naomi, still haunted by a tragic climbing accident, escapes into the mountains and must fight for survival against both nature and her pursuers.
Charlie Harper will open on Sept. 25. Starring Nick Robinson and Emilia Jones, the film follows Charlie and Harper, two young adults whose relationship unfolds across the shifting terrain of their early twenties as they navigate the exhilaration and uncertainty of growing up together – and apart.
Row K is a U.S. theatrical distribution company from Media Capital Technologies (“MCT”). The company’s name comes from the seat often considered the best view in the theater. CAA Media Finance, which helped ideate Row K, serves as an advisory partner to the company.

Along with its high-profile acquisitions, Row K also recently announced three key leadership roles with Mo Rhim as Chief Revenue Officer, Ben Carlson as Chief Marketing Officer, and Steve Garrett as Head of Distribution and Acquisitions.
