Pop star Britney Spears‘ ex-husband Kevin Federline claims she cheated on him with a woman inhis upcoming bombshell memoir.
In You Thought You Knew, which is set to debut on Oct. 21, the 47-year-old promises to delve deep into the “extremely intimate and transparent” details about their “highly publicized marriage.”
Since the news of the memoir broke, the music icon’s star’s family has expressed concerns over Spears, who is reportedly “living on the edge mentally,” and the contents could potentially make her “spiral.”
Federline has already released snippets regarding his high-profile marriage to the pop star, including one that claims that their two adult sons have confided in him about her troubling behavior.
In excerpt shared by USA Today, the DJ writes about an experience early on in the former couple’s relationship when, he claims, he found her kissing a female dancer in Amsterdam while on tour.
In his book, Federline writes that he and the singer had gone out with some of her tour dancers and staff, including a woman who introduced the then-couple in 2004. After the night out, the group returned to the hotel.
Federline writes that he found Spears in a hotel room and claims the other woman, “was sitting on the edge of the bed. Britney stood between her legs, hands on her face, and they were (expletive) going at it. Full-on making out,” Federline writes.
He adds that he was “stunned,” according to USA Today.
Federline alleges that the incident made him realize this wasn’t what he “signed up for,” and began packing.
He writes that he “wanted out” and planned to fly back to the US before Spears apologized and promised it wouldn’t happen again.
Federline writes that he wanted a monogamous relationship and set that boundary. However, he claims, the moment was a “turning point” for their relationship and ended up bringing them closer together.

Spears’ team shared a statement with PEOPLE on Tuesday, Oct. 14, responding to Federline’s memoir and the allegations it contains.
“With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin,” they told the publication.
“All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir,” they added.
Express US has reached out to Spears’ team for comment.
Federline and Spears married in 2004 and split two years later. They finalized their divorce in 2007.
The pair share two sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, who grew up mostly in Federline’s custody.
Meanwhile, Spears spent 13 years in a conservatorship, under the control of her father Jamie Spears, but it was terminated by a judge in November 2021.
In a recent interview, Federline told The New York Times that he has “never” been “against Britney” and has tried to help his sons have a good relationship with her.
“It’s hard because when I really reflect on everything that’s happened — my kids do not know the woman that I married … And I’ve spent two decades trying to bridge that gap,” he said.
Spears was reportedly “utterly blindsided” by Federline’s decision to write a memoir, and has “no idea” what he will discuss about their relationship.
She is deeply panicked that “some of the darkest times of her life” could be recounted by Federline.
