An Oregon country artist is set to compete in a new CBS music competition, appearing beside country superstar Keith Urban.
“The Road” premieres on CBS on Sunday, Oct. 19, and will feature a lineup of music artists from across the country performing as opening acts for Urban while he tours parts of the United States.
The show will host 12 contestants who will follow Urban on the road. Audiences along the tour will judge each artist based on their performance and help determine who gets to advance to the next venue.
Among the contestants is Olivia Harms, a Canby resident who was born and raised on her family ranch in Oregon.
Here’s what to know about Harms and her upcoming appearance on “The Road.”
What is ‘The Road?’
“The Road” is a new music competition produced by “The Voice” judge Blake Shelton and Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan.
The music competition will air as a new series on CBS and is described as a journey to find the “next big musician” while offering an exclusive look at what it takes to be a singer on tour.

“The series provides a backstage pass into the gritty and unforgiving life of a touring artist,” CBS said on its website. “With exclusive access to the inner workings of the music industry, follow some of the best up-and-coming musicians as they pile into a tour bus and hit the road in pursuit of their dreams.”
Country music artist Gretchen Wilson will be joining the team as a “tour manager,” and will be lending her touring expertise to the contestants as they navigate their way along the road.
Who is Olivia Harms?
Harms, 29, will appear as one of 12 contestants singing in the competition.
According to Harms’ website, she is the daughter of Joni Harms, an American country music singer and Western Music Hall of Fame member, and has known the stage since she was a baby.
Harms grew up on her family’s ranch in Canby and has been singing for most of her life. Her first album, “Olivia,” was released in 2011 when she was 16 years old. Her second album, “Rhinestone Cowgirl,” was released in 2021 and showcases her “signature sound,” according to her website.
While Harms is active in her music career, performing at least 200 times a year, she also went to Oregon State University and graduated with a degree in agricultural business management and cattle production.
How to watch “The Road”
“The Road” will premiere at 6 p.m. PT on Sunday, Oct. 19, on CBS.
