Black Phone 2‘s updated opening weekend projections have arrived as it hits theaters. The Blumhouse horror movie, which stars Mason Thames and Madeleine McGraw opposite Ethan Hawke as The Grabber, is a sequel to 2022’s The Black Phone. The original was a smash success, grossing $161.4 million against a reported $16 million budget.
Per Deadline, Black Phone 2 took in $2.6 million during its Thursday night previews in domestic theaters. The movie is now projected to gross a 3-day domestic total between $20 and $30 million by the end of its opening weekend.
