Painters of all levels are invited to visit the LSU Library between their classes for a watercolor painting session in the main lobby. This event will last from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and can be a great way to take a break from coursework and get to know fellow Tigers.
TUKKI: From Roots to the Bayou | French House 135
Join Senegalese musician and composer Alune Wade for a film screening of “Tukki,” followed by a Q&A session. Wade will take attendees on a journey from Africa to New Orleans, finding the connections of Jazz music between these locations. Gameday for Change | Tower Drive by Student Union
In observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Gameday for Change is hosted to bring awareness to intimate partner violence. Students will have the opportunity to learn about campus and community resources, as well as play awareness centered games and pick up food between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Addams Family | River Center Performing Arts Theatre
The comedic musical “The Addams Family” is visiting Baton Rouge for a performance filled with chaos and laughter. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., this musical will follow Wednesday Addams as she falls in love with a “normal” boy, forcing her father Gomez Addams to keep a secret from her mother Morticia Addams. Capital Area United Ways 38th Annual Jambalaya Jam | North Blvd. Town Square
If you’re looking for a taste of Louisiana, look no further than the Annual Jambalaya Jam, where over 50 participants will be serving up delicious jambalaya plates between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. All funds raised during this event will go towards Capital Area United Way’s efforts to build a better community. Movies on the Plaza | The Main Library at Goodwood
Grab your favorite lawn chair or blanket and head to the Main Library at Goodwood for an evening screening of a Halloween classic, “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Beginning at 7 p.m., viewers can enjoy popcorn and light refreshments during the movie and close out the night with an after-movie dance party.

LSU v. Texas A&M | Tiger Stadium
Gather in Death Valley for an electric experience as the LSU Tigers take on the Texas A&M Aggies. With the season over halfway done, the LSU Football team is fighting for the chance to compete in the national championship. Be sure to find a seat before kickoff at 6:30 p.m. and prepare to cheer the players on through their fight for the win.
2nd Annual Million Steps 2 Safety 5K Run/Walk | Louisiana State Police Headquarters
To raise awareness during Pedestrian Safety Month, the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission encourages everyone to join the Million Steps 2 Safety 5K. Raceday packet pickup and registration is from 7 to 7:45 a.m., and the race will begin at 8 a.m. The goal of this walk is to teach attendees to navigate roads safely and share the road responsibly. Attendees are encouraged to dress for this year’s theme, which is “Your Favorite Superhero.” Registration costs $25 and can be done in advance online.

Fall Fest for All | Shaw Center for the Arts
In celebration of the Shaw Center for the Arts 20th year anniversary, the center is bringing back Baton Rouge’s signature arts festival, Fall Fest for All. The festival will feature local vendors, live music, great food and a kids zone. Lasting from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., be sure to stop by and enjoy this celebration of art.
Haints, Haunts & Halloween | LSU Rural Life Museum
For an old-fashioned country style fair, stop by the LSU Rural Life Museum between 2 and 4:30 p.m. This family friendly event will feature trick-or-treating around the museum grounds, games, storytelling and cake walks. Costumes are strongly encouraged, and families of all ages welcome. Tickets vary by age and can be purchased here.
