SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Good Things Utah) — With the 2026 Sundance Film Festival coming up, it was the perfect time to touch base with Eugene Hernandez, director of Sundance Film Festival and Public Programming. He tells us how they will be honoring Robert Redford throughout the experience this year. The festival will be held from January 22 through February 1, 2026, in person in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah. The online program is available from January 29 to February 1, 2026, for audiences across the country.
The Park City Legacy Program is something to note, with the second half of the festival from Tuesday, January 27- Friday, January 30 including a specially curated program of screenings, talks, and an event that reflects the rich history of films and artists that have been part of the Festival in Utah, along with an appreciation to the local community.
Honoring Robert Redford his year will be a meaningful tribute to the late actor, and his vision that has inspired generations of artists and redefined cinema around the world, with touchpoints throughout the festival.
