Fabel Entertainment, the company behind the Bosch universe, Ballard and Brilliant Minds, has brought on Christel Miller as Senior Creative Executive — Special Projects.
In the newly created role, Miller will work closely with CEO Henrik Bastin and SVP Jasmine Russ to expand the company’s pipeline of premium scripted content, forging new partnerships, packaging projects with top talent, and guiding high-value development opportunities that advance the company’s long-term vision, according to Fabel.
“We have known Christel for a long time as a fantastic executive and collaborator working on the buyers side,” said Bastin. “She has a great eye for storytelling and a knack for identifying what makes a show special. We’re thrilled to have her join Fabel where she will hit the ground running with our team as we gear up for season two of Ballard and Bosch: Start of Watch in the new year.”
Prior to joining Fabel, Miller served as Head of Freevee Scripted at Amazon MGM Studios, where she led the development and launch of numerous series including the multi-award-winning Jury Duty and creatively leads the new upcoming iteration of the format for Prime Video. Miller also launched Sprung, Bosch: Legacy, Primo, High School, and Ballard and built Freevee’s original scripted brand from inception. She also developed Prime Video dramas including Motorheads and On Call.
“The fresh energy Christel brings to Fabel makes this next chapter for the company especially exciting,” said Russ. “She’s a builder of hit series, a champion of great ideas, and a trusted creative guide. Her experience and genuine love of the craft makes her an inspiring partner – and exactly who we want in our corner making the television we love.”
Earlier in her career, Miller served as Vice President of Current Programming at NBC, overseeing Superstore, Parenthood, Good Girls, Blindspot, New Amsterdam, and Grimm, and at Showtime Networks during the acclaimed Dexter, The L Word, and Nurse Jackie era.
A graduate of Rice University and UCLA’s Film and Television Producing Program, Miller has been recognized by Glamour, GO Magazine, Outsmart, and the Producers Guild of America, among others. She most recently served on the Board of Directors for GLAAD (2018–2024), where she accepted the Emmy’s Governor’s Award on behalf of the organization at the 2024 Primetime Emmys.
“I’ve long admired Fabel’s commitment to character-driven, fearless storytelling,” said Miller. “This is a team that truly values creative collaboration and takes big swings. I’m honored to help shape the next phase of Fabel’s growth and continue building series that resonate around the world.”
