Meghan Markle is marking her calendar for an important announcement as the royal family delivers an upsetting news about her former home in UK.
The As Ever founder, who has remained engrossed in expanding her brand and building on the Sussex name, teased something exciting to take place.
Late Monday night, Meghan reminded her followers to ‘Save the date’ which is Tuesday, October 28, 2025, 9am PST / 12pm EST, surrounding it with mystery. While it must have something to with her lifestyle brand, the contents remain undisclosed.
The update seemingly came hours after The Sun reported about major changes takin place as workmen and decorators were spotted at her former home in UK, seemingly sparking some bittersweet sentiment.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex believed that Frogmore Cottage “would always be there for them” even after they had left their senior royal positions in 2020 and decided to live in the US.
The couple, who now live in their expansive Montecito mansion with their two children six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet, were evicted from the Windsor estate in 2023, just weeks after Harry’s bombshell memoir had hit the shelves.
There were still hopes, amid the recent reunion between King Charles and Harry, that the Sussexes could be making their way back to the Windsor property should they decide to visit the monarch.
However, those hopes had been crushed when reports emerged about how her home would now be handed over to the most disgraced royal member of the family, and someone who her husband despises.
Inside Frogmore Cottage
Given to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as a wedding gift from the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2018, Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate became ready in April 2019 after months of extensive £2.4million worth of renovations.
It is a 10-bedroom house which was built in the 17th century. It was previously used as a country retreat by Queen Charlotte, and it was later occupied by various royals including Queen Victoria’s mother, the Duchess of Kent; Princess Helena, the third daughter of Queen Victoria; and the future George V and Queen Mary.
