LOS ANGELES, California — Kelsey Grammer has welcomed an eighth child at 70-years-old, People reported.
The actor revealed during the Monday episode of the Pod Meets World podcast that he and his wife, Kayte Walsh, 46, recently celebrated the birth of a baby boy, their fourth child together, according to People.
Grammer introduced their son, Christopher, to the world. Grammer already shares three children with Walsh, Faith (12), Gabriel (10) and James (8). His other four children, now adults, come from earlier relationships: Spencer (41), Greer (33), Mason (23) and Jude (20).
According to E! News, Grammer has been candid in prior interviews about his struggles with being present for some of his older children. He has emphasized clearer communication and accountability in parenting as he raises his younger children.
“Happy for him but wondering what his character Dr. Frasier Crane would say about it,” said Peter Chakerian, life & culture editor at cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer. “If Grammer were to call into the fictional, Seattle-based station KACL 780 AM about it, Dr. Crane could wax philosophical like he did in ‘The Kid’ (Season 5, Episode 4), or chirp ‘Oh, dear God!’ like he did after any exacerbating caller. We say, ‘Why not both!’”
