Sydney Sweeney has described her relationship with Glen Powell as beautiful, but denied rumors they’re dating.

The 28-year-old Euphria actress first sparked romance rumors with Glen when they worked together on the 2023 romcom Anyone But You. Speculation heated up when Sydney broke off her engagement to her then-fiancé Jonathan Davino.

Now, Sydney has put the speculation to rest once and for all as she revealed, “Glen and I genuinely care for each other and have a love and respect for one another.”

Speaking to Variety, the film star added, “I love being with him. And I think people just truly saw a really beautiful pairing.”

Sydney also addressed claims she and Glen had leaned into the romance rumors while promoting their film, insisting “the press did it themselves.”

It seems Sydney enjoyed her time filming Anyone But You as she revealed she would “jump in hand in hand” to do a sequel if the script was right. She also teased Glen would be up for it too as she said, “We are always open to it.”

Glen has also previously spoken about the rumors he was dating Sydney while filming. Appearing on Today’s Jenna & Friends back in April, the 37-year-old suggested they’re so close as his sister is close friends with Sydney.

When asked by Jenna Bush Hager, “The wedding caused a little bit of a stir. Did that surprise you?” the Top Gun star responded excitedly, “You know, timing is everything in this world, isn’t it?”

He continued, “She and Syd are obviously great friends and it was a hell of a wedding.”

“It was just such a fun, rowdy wedding. The Powells know how to crank it up,” he added, diverting attention away from the romance rumors. Glen continued, “The Powells know how to do it right and so all the people that love her were there.”

Since then, Sydney has been spotted getting close to businessman Scooter Braun. The pair were photographed holding hands in New York City earlier this month.

For the date, Sydney wore a gray pinstriped dress which she paired with a cropped blue-and-white shirt. Scooter went for a more casual look, wearing a white T-shirt, black button-up shirt and green pants.

A source has claimed the pair are “full on” following Sydney’s split from Jonathan. “It’s not a casual relationship. It’s game on, it’s full throttle. They are together,” the source told Page Six.

A source close to Scooter said it seems like more than a passing romance, explaining, “He is picky about who he lets in his inner circle, and he has kids. If he is with her, it’s not about what she looks like or celebrity, but means he really likes her.”
