Does he belong to WAG, er, SAG? Indy the adorable Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever is the star of the upcoming horror movie Good Boy, which is told from a dog’s point of view.
Owned by Good Boy director Ben Leonberg and producer Kari Fischer, Indy’s performance is so Spot-on, he’s already been honored with a special Howl of Fame award — and some are calling for a special animal-actor Oscar!

“He doesn’t know he got an award any more than he understands he was acting in a movie,” Ben told People. “So it won’t go to his head!”

In the film, Indy plays a dog who moves with his owner (played by Shane Jensen) to the suburbs, sniffs out the evil forces lurking in the home and battles to save the people he loves the most.
Critics are all over Indy’s performance like a dog with a bone. One reviewer dubs him “one of the most emotive actors of his generation — regardless of species,” per IndieWire. Another praises the retriever’s “emotional power — he takes the ball and runs with it.”
