ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Actress Rita Moreno graced the Dryden Theatre stage on Wednesday for a press conference ahead of receiving the George Eastman Museum Award.
The event was held for the media and guests to ask questions and discuss Moreno’s career and her prominent role in the film “West Side Story.”

Opening remarks were provided by Bruce Barnes, PhD, the Ron and Donna Fielding Director of the George Eastman Museum, followed by Rochester Mayor Malik Evans.

During the conference, Moreno signed a portrait of herself that will be displayed in the museum for the public.
The Award Ceremony is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
