A wannabe Bronx rapper horrifically beat a cat to death in ritualistic sacrifice to Satan and posted about it on social media to promote his small-time music career, police and sources said.
Fordham North resident David Mosley, 26 — who goes by the alias Church of Ububal — was arrested Thursday for killing the kitty, law enforcement sources said, after boasting in a YouTube rant that he was inspired by a Norwegian black metal band whose bassist “literally murdered” another member of his band, an apparent reference to the band Mayhem.
Church of Ububal — which is “Labubu” backwards — boasted about the Devil-worshipping sacrifice to hype his upcoming rap album rollout in the days prior to his arrest and went berserk on a Post reporter and photographer who approached him in his building Wednesday afternoon after his rambling videos sparked social media backlash.
“You can’t write your stories here and you’re not allowed in this building,” he yelled.
“He’s crazy,” one neighbor told The Post. “He’s always moving furniture and being loud … It’s hard to believe anyone like that is living here.”
A photo of the dead cat was posted on Oct. 16 to his now-deleted Instagram account, and he had threatened to release another “live sacrifice” on Halloween night.
“Be there or be square,” a screenshot of a later post from the account posted to Reddit reads. “Like I said at my first show and no one came. But you will be at this one. Grab popcorn.”
Mosley defended the stunt in a livestream video posted to YouTube Monday, claiming the social media stunt was simply a sick joke — and in the same breath, taunted animal lovers.
“The video on Halloween that I was gonna do, it’s [already] been done,” he said. “I’m not sure if y’all are ready for this next level.”
He was charged by police with criminal mischief, aggravated cruelty to animals and disposal of dead animals, according to sources.
“In a little over a week, we caught this individual with limited information that we had” from the social media post, police sources said.
In his rambling hour-long livestream, the Bronx man claimed that the cat was already dead when he filmed the content.
“Y’all are soft for falling for cheap parlor tricks” he said.
But experts aren’t convinced.
“Any vet who looks at that picture can see there was distress and the cat was recently spayed and therefore very likely recently adopted,” said Greenpoint Cats rescuer Becky Wisdom.
“The open mouth, the blood, it was not a peaceful end.”
City Council member Joann Ariola told The Post that her “heart is broken for the innocent creatures that suffered because of him” — and said she personally spoke with the NYPD commissioner’s office about the gruesome post.
“Statistically, serial killers begin by killing animals, and then escalate to people,” Ariola said. “And I am glad that this violent madman is now off of our streets before any more harm could be done.”
