COLCHESTER, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – This week film critic Julia Swift reviewed the widely-acclaimed animated movie “KPop Demon Hunters”.
The movie, which follows three K-Pop superstars that entertain the masses as a girl-group while secretly hunting demons. “K-Pop Demon Hunters” has been on Netflix for roughly 19 weeks, and became the streaming platform’s most-watched original film.
“Never in streaming has a film been watched this many times anywhere,” Swift says.
Without spoiling the plot, Swift notes that the themes, which both kids and adults can relate to. She also felt as thought the songs were beautifully refined and well-woven into the film.
While Swift wished the script was more refined, she appreciated this “girl centered project that anyone can sing along to.”
Those interested can watch “KPop Demon Hunters” on Netflix now, or catch the sing-a-long version in theatres this weekend.
