HICKORY RIDGE — Tomorrow will be a big day in the city of Hickory Ridge.
The 2025 Hickory Fest begins at 10 a.m. tomorrow with the opening ceremonies.
“This Saturday at 10 a.m. is when we’re going to kick it off. It’s going to be at the Hickory Ridge City Park. The address is 283 Front Street. If you go down Highway 49, you can’t miss it. You’ll see us on the left right across the tracks,” said Tonya Smith, a member of the Hickory Fest Committee. “It will be a full day of fun. We’ll end about 7:30 p.m. We’re ending it this year a little bit earlier than we normally have.”
A variety of other activities including bouncy houses, a kids’ train, laser tag, a NERF gun party, and a gaming truck will also open about 10 a.m. Saturday. There will also be events all day long on the main stage.
“This is our main event. We host several events throughout the year. We’ll have a Christmas event. We did the Easter event. We do several things, but this is our main one,” Smith said. “There’s no parking fee. There’s no fee to sit and listen to the entertainment. There’s bouncy houses. There’s wrestling. There’s all these things that’s free. Just to come spend the day and fellowship with everybody in the community.”
The entertainment lineup includes:
- 10:30 a.m. – Mallory Everett
- 11:45 a.m. – Consuming Fire Praise Band
- 12:45 p.m. – Senior citizens pageant
- 1 p.m. – Hot dog eating contest
- 1:30 p.m. – Kids’ variety show
- 2 p.m. – Jeff Epps
- 3 p.m. – 100 Wrestling
- 4 p.m. – Brittany Moore
- 5:30 p.m. – Matt McQuay and Derrick Brandon of Fallen Within
There will also be a number of food vendors including J & B’s Twizted BBQ, Mitchell’s Black Angus Beef & Crawfish Company, Parker’s Water Ice, and Cowboy Cooler. The Hickory Ridge Fire Department will also be set up during the day, hosting their annual Boston butt fundraiser. The cost for a sandwich, chips and drink will be $10. Boston butts will also be sold by the pound for $8. Pre-orders can be placed by contacting Luther Hagler at 870-588-1217.
