WORCESTER, Mass. – Carson Golder scored the lone goal in the shootout to give the Royals a 2-1 win over Worcester on Friday night at DCU Center.
After a scoreless opening 20 minutes, Kyle Haskins put Reading on the board 54 seconds into the second off assists from Nick Capone and Ben Meehan. The Railers answered five minutes later and the two teams skate through a scoreless third period and overtime.
Keith Petruzzelli stopped 27 shots for the Reading who improved to 4-0-1 on the year.
