Justin Bieber has previewed new music and told fans he feels “vulnerable as hell” in a new stream.

The singer has been streaming on Twitch for the past few days, sharing footage of his daily life, including him playing basketball, spending time with friends or recording in the studio. During the latter clips, Bieber has shared snippets of unreleased music, from backing tracks to moments of him freestyling to work out potential lyrics.

While streaming, he’s opened up about how nervous it makes him to share these more intimate moments.

“Going on Twitch is vulnerable as hell because people who just feel shitty about themselves project and then they write mean-ass things,” he said on the stream. “It’s already hard enough to put yourself out there, and then you gotta read all this.”

He went on to share that he recently read a comment after coming home from playing basketball, when he was exhausted. “They were like ‘Justin is not as exuberant. He will never be his exuberant self ever again. He’s lost his charisma.’ I was like, ‘What? I just played basketball last night, I’m just tired.’

“And we’re talking about emotional things,” he continued. “And I start getting in my head, like ‘Ma, did I lose my charisma? My exuberance?’ I have a zest for life … It just sucks that you can have a million people say the nicest thing and then the one comment gets in there.”

You can watch the stream below.

Bieber has made a return to the spotlight recently and is set to top the bill at Coachella next April. He’s reported to be earning $10million (£7.3m) in total for his pair of performances, which are due to take place across two consecutive weekends (Saturday April 11 and Saturday April 18). That’s a huge $5million (£3.6m) per show.

Bieber hasn’t performed live in the US since his 2022 ‘Justice’ world tour. His most recent show took place in July 2024 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India. This came as part of a pre-wedding party for the son of the richest man in Asia, with Bieber reportedly being paid $10million for the gig.

The singer surprise-released ‘Swag’ – the follow-up to 2021’s ‘Justice’ – in July, before sharing the sequel ‘Swag II’ earlier this month. In a three-star review of the latter, NME wrote: “It’s frustrating because there’s plenty of great material scattered across these two parts, which would be far stronger as a single, shorter release.

“Put bluntly, you have to wonder: did this really need to be a double album?”

In other news, earlier this year, Bieber hit out at what he labelled “gossip” and “lies” about his private life after he attended Coachella 2025.

Elsewhere, Ed Sheeran recently shared that his song ‘Camera’ was almost a duet with Bieber.
