While the Marvel Cinematic Universe is filled with sexy moments (including the shirtless reveal of Captain America’s transformed body and pretty much every shot of Black Widow’s leather-clad body), it features surprisingly little sex. In fact, there aren’t even many references to sex and sexuality, which may not be that surprising. Disney bought this franchise largely to sell toys, and you can’t do that if the movies feature too much in the way of adult content.
With that being said, the writers slipped a few sexually-charged moments into Marvel’s biggest movies and shows over the years. These are the kinds of scenes that make one thing perfectly clear: in this cinematic universe, our heroes f***. If you don’t believe it, keep reading to check out the raunchiest Marvel moments everyone forgot about!
Jessica Jones And Luke Cage And Everyone Else On The Show
Weirdly enough, the raunchiest moments in the MCU came from a TV show rather than a movie. Jessica Jones is a show filled with sex, including the title character having all kinds of bed-breaking quality time with Luke Cage. To make things even wilder, they get busy in the first episode, making it clear to audiences that this show is far dreamier than anything previously shown in the MCU.
Honestly, Jessica Jones takes home the award for the horniest thing in the MCU, and it’s not even close. We see Jessica riding Luke Cage, we see her friend Trish having varied sexcapades with Nuke, and we even see lawyer Jeri Hogarth partying with multiple female partners.
Jeri Hogarth gets the party started with her guests.
If you want to check out some raunchy Marvel moments, Jessica Jones has more than you can shake a whiskey bottle at!
Black Widow Strips Down While Happy Hogan Watches
The Avengers helped transform Black Widow into a proper hero, one who knew how to turn her sexuality into a weapon. But when she was introduced in Iron Man 2, her character was almost nothing but sexuality, a point that was really driven home when she had to change out of her civilian gear in the back seat while Happy Hogan drove.
Happy Hogan likes to watch.
The scene is brief and mostly serves as a shameless excuse for the movie to show off Scarlett Johansson’s body. But we get a real laugh-out-loud moment when Happy swerves out of control because he was staring at her, causing the hero to simply mutter, “Watch the road.”
It’s a humorous moment that really humanizes Happy. After all, if one of the deadliest and most beautiful women in the entire world was stripping down in the back seat, how many men in the audience would actually be able to resist taking a peek?
Pepper Potts, Accidental Voyeur
Pepper Potts escorts another one of Tony’s conquests out.
The first Iron Man movie made it quite clear that Tony Stark has a wild sex life, starting with the early scene where he takes a disdainful reporter to bed. That makes for a fun scene that helps sell us on Tony’s charm. After all, he’s charismatic enough to turn his biggest critic into his latest romantic conquest. But for my money (which admittedly doesn’t go as far as Tony’s), this isn’t the raunchiest moment in the film.
That honor goes to the scene where Pepper Potts walks in on Tony’s machinery trying (and failing) to get him out of the Iron Man suit. When he sees her, the superhero says, “Let’s face it, this is not the worst thing you’ve caught me doing.”
“Let’s face it, this is not the worst thing you’ve caught me doing.”
We know Pepper is usually responsible for getting Tony’s romantic conquests a ride home; the implication here is that she has caught Tony doing something far kinkier than the one-night stand we saw earlier in the film. Considering his love of both getting busy and building weird gadgets, I’ve always assumed that Pepper caught her boss using a homemade sex machine that was designed to “pull off” something other than a superhero suit.
Kinda gives new meaning to “Iron Man,” doesn’t it?
Learning Too Much About Star-Lord’s Sex Life
If there’s one MCU character even hornier than Tony Stark, it’s Star-Lord, leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy. The first Guardians film makes it clear that before he fell for Gamora, Star-Lord was a ladies’ man who (a bit like Captain Kirk) loved to take colorful aliens to bed. Unfortunately, a throwaway line lets us know just how nasty that bed is, not to mention the rest of his ship!
He horrifies teammate Rocket Raccoon by claiming that under a black light, Star-Lord’s ship would “look like a Jackson Pollock painting.” It’s a hilariously out-of-pocket line (seriously, how did Disney approve this?) that implies that our hero’s sexual escapades are leaving semen all over the ship. It’s a funny line, obviously, but it gets weirder the more you start thinking about just how good your favorite character’s pull-out game is!
Korg Thinks Thor Is Screwing the Hammer
Thor: Ragnarok changed up the formula of this franchise by focusing more on comedy than Norse-flavored melodrama. A great example of this is when Thor is trying to describe how he was once able to fly using his mystical hammer, Mjolnir. He begins telling Korg, “I used to spin it really fast, and it would pull me off the,” but the stony companion interjects with a quick question: “Oh my God, the hammer pulled you off?”
Thor describes how his hammer pulled him off.
Obviously, the joke here is that Korg thinks that Thor was inexplicably getting some handsy action from his famous weapon. Thor remains oblivious, even as Korg notes that the superhero “had a pretty special and intimate relationship with this hammer.” Now, whenever you see Korg onscreen, you have to think about the fact that he’s apparently cool with the idea that his bestie likes to bang a giant hammer.
Odin’s beard, how that would chafe!
