Greenville, S.C. (WSPA)- For those of us who aren’t ready to let go of Halloween, you can welcome in the holiday season with “Beyond Halloween Land” Tim Burton’s The Nightmare before Christmas exhibit at the Upcountry History Museum.
The Smithsonian Affiliate, will present an exhibition dedicated to Filmmaker Tim Burton.
You can see the iconic 1993 stop-action animated film by showcasing a carefully curated collection of models and original artwork used to bring the film to life.
The nightmare before Christmas started from a poem written by Burton in 1982 while he was working as an animator at Walt Disney Productions.
Production started in 1991 using 109,490 photographs for the labor-intensive stop animation process and finished in 1993
Don’t miss characters such as Oogie Boogie, Bone Crusher, Sally, Dr. Finkelstein, and the beloved hero Jack Skellington all on display until March 1.
The exhibit will weave together maquettes originally crafted for Burton’s iconic film, and an array of artworks, inviting visitors to embark on their own imaginative journeys into the realms of fantasy.
