Singer Perry Farrell took to the stage last week as part of a tribute show to the classic rock band The Doors, his first public performance since an onstage fight last year led to the breakup of Jane’s Addiction.
According to mxdwn.com, Farrell sang Doors classics “Touch Me,” “Roadhouse Blues” and “Waiting for the Sun.” Former Doors guitarist Robby Krieger performed with Farrell.
Last year, Farrell got into a fight with Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro during a performance. Footage of the fight showed Farrell giving a shoulder bump to Navarro before he begins yelling at the guitarist, pushing him and throwing a punch. Crew members for Jane’s Addiction rushed the stage to intervene and restrain Farrell.

The incident led to the cancellation of the band’s tour. Farrell later apologized for his outburst, saying that he had reached a “breaking point” that resulted in “inexcusable behavior.
It did little to resolve the situation as the band and Farrell filed lawsuits against each other.
Formed in 1985, Jane’s Addiction is one of the most successful punk bands ever, with standout hits “Jane Says” and “Been Caught Stealing.” The band has broken up and reformed several times.
