Just two days after being transfered, Diddy was spotted chatting with a former NBA star in the yard at Fort Dix, as the two celebrity inmates are serving out their prison sentences
Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs was spotted chatting with former NBA star and fellow inmate Sebastian Telfair in the FCI Fort Dix prison yard, just days after he was transferred to the minimum security prison in New Jersey.
The disgraced rap mogul was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution after being acquitted on more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. He was sentenced to 50 months behind bars.
Fort Dix has housed many high-profile inmates, including Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Giudice and ‘Pharma Bro’ Martin Shkreli, and now Diddy. He and the Brooklyn-born basketball player were seen being friendly in the yard on Saturday.

Diddy had been detained without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since September 2024, which he referred to as “hell on earth” due to its “inhumane” conditions, before being transferred to Fort Dix as he and his team requested.
The 55-year-old arrived at the low-security institution on Thursday to serve out the remainder of his sentence. He is scheduled for release on May 8, 2028
Diddy and Sebastian seem to have more in common than being born and raised in New York City. Back in August, just before he reported to prison to serve his six-month sentence, Sebastian called on Donald Trump to issue him a pardon in a last-ditch effort to keep him out of the slammer. Diddy’s team reached out to the president after his sentencing on October 3.
After a slew of legal troubles dating back to 2007, including several weapons and marijuana-related charges, Sebastian was sentenced to six months in prison in August 2025 after he failed to complete his court-ordered community service and failed to report to the U.S. Probation Office.
The 40-year-old former basketball pro was sentenced to three years’ probation after pleading guilty to charges of fraud on March 16, 2023. He was one of eighteen former NBA players who were arrested on charges of fraud.
According to the indictment, the players were accused of engaging in a scheme to defraud the league’s health and welfare benefit plan to the tune of $4 million by submitting false and fraudulent claims for reimbursement of medical and dental procedures that never occurred.
Sebastian has about three months left on his sentence. Before his run-ins with the law, he was drafted to the Portland Trail Blazers in 2004 straight out of high school and went on to play in over 500 NBA games between 2004 and 2014.
The two famous inmates have known each other for years. In fact, in 2006, Sebastian’s $50,000 chain was snatched from him right outside of Diddy’s now-defunct restaurant, Justin’s.
