Maureen Callahan, a royal reporter for Daily Mail, thinks Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should be worried after The Firm banished Andrew Mountbatten Windsor for his ties to Jeffrey Epstein. “It’s now a question of when, not if,” she wrote. “The sun begins to set over Montecito — permanently. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s titles will especially be at risk when Prince William becomes king, Maureen Callahan believes. “Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was a pawn removed by William to clear the way for his real target, Harry,” she said. “If William can have convinced the infamously conflict-averse King Charles III to renounce his own brother — well, Harry’s days as prince and Duke of Sussex are surely numbered.”

While Prince Harry‘s feud with Prince William may cost him his title, Meghan Markle could also be caught in the crossfire — similar to Sarah Ferguson. The former Duchess of York’s honors were also taken away due to her friendship to Jeffrey Epstein. “As for Meghan? Like Fergie, she would just be collateral damage. An afterthought. Andrew Mountbatten Windsor relinquished his titles shortly before King Charles III made the move official. Additionally, the former Duke of York lost his position as Knight of the Order of the Garter and Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order. Queen Elizabeth II previously removed his military and charity patronages in 2022. Andrew will move out of the Royal Lodge.
