President Donald Trump is once again ranting about a late-night talk show host.
Trump slammed the host of “Late Night With Seth Myers” via Truth Social on Saturday, Nov. 1.
“Seth Meyers of NBC may be the least talented person to ‘perform’ live in the history of television,” the president wrote. “In fact, he may be the WORST to perform, live or otherwise. I watched his show the other night for the first time in years. In it he talked endlessly about electric catapults on aircraft carriers which I complain about as not being as good as much less expensive steam catapults.”
Trump claimed that Myers went “on and on” about the topic like “a truly deranged lunatic.”
“Why does NBC waste its time and money on a guy like this??? – NO TALENT, NO RATINGS, 100% ANTI TRUMP, WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!!” Trump wrote.
Myers did, in fact, poke fun at Trump’s recent comments about catapults during the Thursday, Oct. 30, episode of “Late Night.”
“Guy spends more time thinking about catapults than Wile E. Coyote,” Myers quipped. “Next he’s gonna start complaining about how our troops don’t tie themselves to rockets anymore.”
Myers then introduced a segment called “Seth translates Trump to English,” joking that Trump disapproves of electric catapults because he thinks “electricity votes for Democrats,” and he “likes seeing the steam clouds” from steam catapults.

This isn’t the first time Trump has taken aim at Myers and other late-night comedians. The president celebrated when Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show was temporarily suspended in September following his comments about Trump’s reaction to Charlie Kirk’s death.
“Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even [Stephen] Colbert, if that’s possible,” Trump wrote via Truth Social at the time. “That leaves Jimmy [Fallon] and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!! President DJT.”
Kimmel returned to the air after six days, but Colbert’s “Late Show” will come to an end in 2026. CBS has called the decision to cancel the program “purely financial,” but the timing raised eyebrows. The cancelation news came just days after Colbert criticized the network’s parent company, Paramount Global, for settling a lawsuit filed by Trump.

During an interview with GQ published on Monday, Nov. 3, Colbert called the theories that he got axed to appease Trump “reasonable,” but said he doesn’t want to contribute to them.
“I have my feelings about not doing the show anymore, but you’d have to show me why that’s a fruitful relationship for me to have with my network for the next nine months, for me to engage in that speculation,” Colbert said. “I have had a great relationship with CBS. It’s one of the reasons why this was so surprising and so shocking that there was no preamble to this.”
“The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” airs on CBS and Paramount+ weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET. “Late Night With Seth Myers” airs on NBC weeknights at 12:35 a.m. ET. Episodes are available to stream on Peacock the day after they air.
