For those unversed, a young fan named “Acey Daddy” begged Speed for help because his mom was “kind of homeless.” Speed was initially taken aback by the fan’s unusual request but played along. IShowSpeed’s much-loved viral face meme is gaining attention on the internet. The “My Mom is kinda homeless” meme is the winner of October 2025’s Meme of the Month award. Know Your Meme awarded a certificate to the viral face meme after it garnered 15.5 percent of the total votes.

The certificate reads, “Upon recommendation of our research community and by virtue of the authority vested in them, Know by Meme hereby confers upon ‘IShowSpeed’s Dec 2021 stream’ this certificate of membership in recognition of its outstanding reception during the month of October 2025.” (via Know Your Meme).

Know Your Meme stamped it “certified,” with an image of Speed attached to the certification. In the picture, Speed closes his eyes and puckers his lips, with his face muscles tense to create the viral face meme.

For those unversed, on December 29, 2021, Speed hosted a YouTube livestream titled “EARLY STREAM.” While playing Fortnite, he encountered a fan with the username “Acey Daddy.” While they were playing, Acey suddenly made an unusual request to Speed: “Please, Speed. I need this. My mom is kinda homeless. I live with my dad. I want to help her out.”

The fan’s unusual request initially took Speed by surprise and eventually amused him. The streamer closed his eyes and pressed his lips together in an attempt to stifle his laugh. The hilarious moment birthed one of the most viral moments on the internet. It also added to Speed’s popularity. The streamer later recreated the viral moment in a reunion stream with Acey, which garnered a lot of fan reactions.
