As new details surrounding Morgan Wallen’s arrest surface, another country singer has found himself in trouble with the law.

On Sunday, Nov. 2, at 7:10 p.m., country star Todd Snider was arrested in Salt Lake City, Utah, on suspicion of disorderly conduct, trespassing, and making a violent threat. According to Salt Lake City police, the 59-year-old singer was released shortly after his arrest at 3 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 3.

Todd has also made the hard decision to cancel his ongoing tour. According to the arrest affidavit obtained by TMZ, the Just Like Old Times hitmaker got into the heated altercation after being discharged from Salt Lake City Regional Hospital where he was treated for injuries he suffered following an alleged assault outside his hotel.

At the time, Todd was reportedly unhappy that he was discharged from the hospital and was seen shouting and cursing at the hospital staff.

Police say that he was asked to leave the property, which he did. But he later returned and was reported to have “made verbal threats” to the alleged victim and said that he was going to “kick [their] ass.”

The Oregon-native was later released on no recognizance, which means he was not required to pay bail but signed a promise to appear in court.

In the aftermath of the incident, Todd announced that he will be canceling his ‘High, Lonesome and Then Some’ 2025 tour. In a new Instagram post, his record company posted a statement that read, “We are heartbroken to announce the cancellation of the High, Lonesome and Then Some 2025 Tour dates. Ahead of Todd Snider’s show in Salt Lake City, Todd sustained severe injuries as the victim of a violent assault outside of his hotel.”

The message continued, “Todd will be unable to perform for an undetermined amount of time. We deeply apologize for the cancellation and any inconvenience it causes. We appreciate your understanding as Todd receives needed medical treatment. We hope to have more information on new dates soon.”

After the disheartening announcement, many of Todd’s fans took to the comment section, sending him well wishes and a speedy recovery. One fan wrote, “Devastating news. Get well soon, Todd! You mean so much to so many.”

Another fan added, “Man. Big love to you Todd. That is messed up. Ya know you got the world on your side. Sorry for whatever darkness you encountered.”

While a third wrote, “I just read the first few words and thought this was going to be a different post. That scared me! Todd, I hope you heal up quickly.”

And someone else commented, “Oh dear! I hope you recover soon Todd! Sending healing.”

While Todd will not be on the remainder of his 2025 tour, according to his website, he is still planning to hit the road for the Southern leg of his tour, which begins in Jan. of 2026. This leg of his U.S. tour includes shows across cities in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida.
