The Celebrity Traitors is a nine-part reality TV series based on the worldwide mega-hit The Traitors – but with famous faces. Presented by Claudia Winkleman, it’s the ultimate game of deceit, betrayal and (often misplaced) trust. Episodes 1-7 are streaming now – Episode 8 arrives on Thursday, October 30. Multiple players have been banished!
The rules of the psychological game format are relatively simple. A group of strangers gather together in a castle (Ardross Castle in Scotland, if you’re interested) and are divided into Faithfuls and Traitors – the latter murder the former every night, the former must vote out who they believe are the latter. There’s a cash pot at the end, equally shared, unless any Traitors remain and they scoop the lot.
In the new all-star celebrity version, 19 famous faces from UK TV, music, comedy and sport compete for the £100,000 prize for their chosen charity. Unlike some ‘sleb spinoffs, there are big names aplenty, too – award-winning singer-songwriter Paloma Faith, Olympian Tom Daley, TV presenter Jonathan Ross and YouTuber Niko Omilana to name but a few.
