Legendary sound brand Marshall have announced plans to support Music Venue Trust with a brand new live series, focussed on championing grassroots music via support for emerging artists, independent venues and music fans.
Their new joint initiative, Marshall Nights, will see the amp collaborate with MVT to put on over 20 gigs across the country, playing host to over 60 up-and-coming artists. The series, which is set to begin soon, will kick off in well-loved venues such as Brighton’s Green Door Store, Cardiff’s Fuel Glasgow’s The Rum Shack, and Sheffield’s Yellow Arch.
This isn’t the first time time that Marshall have pledged to help independent venues; last year, Marshall co-founder Terry Marshall and his wife Leslie Marshall personally donated £100,000 to support MVT’s Own Our Venues campaign, while also supplying backline equipment to more than 20 venues across the UK to help alleviate some of the burden.
Speaking of their new collaboration series, MVT’s Partnerships Manager, Denzil Thomas has said: “Grassroots Music Venues are the lifeblood of the UK’s music ecosystem, they are where artists take their first steps, and where fans fall in love with live music. We’re proud to partner with Marshall, a brand that embodies the sound and spirit of live performance, to keep these vital spaces alive.”
“Marshall was born from the live stage, and that’s where we belong,” Kevin Penney, Marketing Director at Marshall EMEA Grassroots, adds. “Venues are where every great band starts, and we’re proud to help keep those stages alive for the next generation of artists and fans. This isn’t just about sound, it’s about community, creativity, and giving back to the music that made us.”
Details of the full Marshall Nights programme are set to be revealed soon.
