Despite playing a lawyer on Ryan Murphy‘s new show All’s Fair, Kim Kardashian has yet to pass the bar exam.
The reality star shared the disappointing news via her Instagram Story on Saturday, Nov. 8.
“Well… I’m not a lawyer yet,” she began. “I just play a very well-dressed one on TV.”
“Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination,” she continued. “Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way so far.”
Kardashian concluded, “Falling short isn’t failure – it’s fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivates me even more. Let’s Go!!!!!!!!!!”

Bar exam results were released by the California State Bar on the evening of Friday, Nov. 7 to applicants only.
Kardashian graduated from her law school program in May of this year after beginning her studies in 2019. In 2021, she passed the “baby bar,” one of two tests needed to become a lawyer in California.
During an Oct. 24 episode of The Graham Norton Show, Kardashian revealed what type of lawyer she aspires to be.
“Maybe in 10 years, I think I’ll give up being Kim K. and be a trial lawyer,” she said. “That’s what I really want.”
“I always want to be growing, curious and evolving, and I want to see wherever that takes me,” she added.
In All’s Fair, the Skims entrepreneur stars as a high-powered divorce attorney Allura Grant. The series also stars Teyana Taylor, Niecy Nash, Sarah Paulson, and Glenn Close, yet, the show currently holds a 5% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
New episodes of All’s Fair are released every Tuesday at 3 a.m. ET/midnight PT on Hulu and Disney+.
