‘80s music icon Cyndi Lauper, 72, has never looked or sounded better.
The stunning “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” singer, who burst onto the music scene in the early 1980s with her wild hair and thick New York accent, can now add Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee to her long (and still growing) résumé of accolades and awards. Lauper was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2025 along with fellow inductees Salt-N-Pepa, Warren Zevon, Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Outkast, The White Stripes, and Soundgarden on November 8 in Los Angeles.
Prior to the show, Lauper dominated the red carpet with fans noting her ageless appearance (not to mention her killer blue hair).
The 72-year-old “She Bop” singer wore a beaded black crop jacket and matching tuxedo-style pants, highlighting her short blue hair and youthful glow. Lauper had fun on the red carpet, blowing kisses to the cameras as she posed for throngs of photographers hoping to get the perfect shot.
Fans commented “Such a beauty,” while noting “This lady never ages,” as congratulations poured in for the trailblazing musical icon.

Pop star Chappell Roan helped usher Lauper into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, celebrating Lauper as a trailblazer who had “the courage that not only creates incredible art, it gives everyone who experiences it the permission to be themselves. It opens their hearts, it changes their minds, and that is its power. Tonight, we honor a woman who redefined what a pop star could look like, sound like, sing like, and be.”
Lauper performed a medley of her greatest hits during Saturday’s talent-heavy induction ceremony and concert. She was joined onstage by Avril Lavigne and Raye. Lauper, along with The Go-Go’s Gina Schock on drums, performed her crowd-pleasing hits including “True Colors” and “Time After Time.”
Beyond her long and illustrious career in pop music, Lauper has become a Broadway luminary, winning a Tony Award for the score of the hit musical adaptation of the film Kinky Boots.
Lauper is currently working on the musical adaptation of the 1988 film Working Girl, which starred Melanie Griffith. Pop star JoJo stars as Tess McGill, the role originated on film by Griffith.
