The Peabody Awards, given out to examples of media that “encourage empathy, champion public interest, and expand our comprehension of the world around us,” have set a date next year for their 86th edition.
The honors will take place on May 31, 2026 in Los Angeles at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and fall into the following categories: entertainment, documentary, news, podcast/radio, arts, children’s and youth, immersive and interactive media, and public service programming.

Nominees for the 2026 Peabody Awards will be announced in April and winners announced the following month.
This year’s winners included Shōgun, Baby Reindeer, and Ripley.
