Every season has its own special attributes, but for many, fall would be considered a particular favorite. Between nature’s vibrant color palette, back-to-school shopping, and cozy holiday traditions, the months have come to signify a fresh start. And today, Princess Kate agreed.
“Embrace the beauty found in change,” she shared on her Instagram, accompanying a fall-themed dedication to growth and discovery. The third installment in her “Mother Nature” series, the idyllic video featured a montage of campfire moments and sweeping landscape shots, overlayed with her inspiring words on the moving power of the season—and just what we can learn from it.
“This is the season for reflection,” she shared. “Trees shed their canopies in preparation for winter, just as we too learn to let go of what is no longer needed. Through greater awareness of our inner and outer worlds, we can find clarity and purpose in what matters most.”
As part of her work with the organization Go Beyond, the princess invited students from Farley Junior Academy to join her at Windsor Great Park for a lesson in open-fire cooking, documented in the video by cinematographer Will Warr. Learning alongside the children, Kate and chef Gill Meller create a full fall feast, with root vegetables, apples picked straight from the tree, and homemade bread.
“With the turning of the seasons, Mother Nature teaches us there is beauty to be found in change, impermanence, and in letting go,” she continued. “These are the natural cycles of life. While the blossoms fall and the colors fade, the roots grow deeper, stronger.”
